OUR SNOW

Yes, I said snow. On Friday we got 2 inches. We got 9 inches yesterday and then more last night.

This is web's snow man. He started to melt before I got the picture but we had fun with him. This was Friday after the snow melted.

This was Saturday's snow fall in the morning by the afternoon we were expecting 9-14 inches to fall and it did. Now we are shielded from a lot of the snow and wind so we don't get as much in the yard. But as you can see we did get some.
This is the kids Saturday morning looking at the snow.

The kids played in the snow all morning. They also found the tomato plants and decided to play with the cages.

Yes, those are skewered tomatoes.
Look at me mom.
Web thought that it looked like fun so he had to try.

The reflection in the window is bad on these but I thought they were cute pics.

No, don't hit the window web.
This is today's snow and it is still falling. The tree has two branches that go over our fence. But they have come together with the weight of the snow.
The story on the tree today is that it has lost 3 branches on the road side and it is a possibility that it will fall. Either into the townhouse or the carport. We moved the cars and we can't go anywhere so we are praying that it doesn't hit us. No church today that I guess is a good thing.
Okay so here is the severe storm warning for today. I think this explains our weather pretty well. They called on the tree and are going o get to it when they can there are accidents all over the interstate. On exit 27 there is a multiple truck accident because they were trying to get off the road and they ll slid into each other.

Update

We finaly have a pumpkin growing. But we don't think it will make it to Halloween. It is the size of a softball. It might not get big enough in time. It was fun to grow a garden though.

Munster is doing well in school. Even though she is in Kindergarten they put her in a first grade reading class because she reads so well. They also have a sign language class coming available and she wants to do that too. She is so smart and she is doing so well.

Web is also reading a little bit. He suprises me every now and then when we are reading. "Mom that says swim". Not bad for three. He loves to do learning games on the computer and much to my dismay he loves to play on the wii. But we try to find educational games for them to play on that.

Six is a scout master now. He works with the 11-12 year olds. It is a great calling for him.

They changed my calling a bit. Instead of teaching the sunday school class for the 14and 15 year olds. I now teach the sunday school class for the 12-16 year olds. I have 22 kids in my class. HELP!!!! They are great though. They all want to learn to dance and so we are thinking of puting a class together for them.

The Birthday cake.

This year I decided to just buy a cake for Web or should I say MONSTER. We had just come back from the store with the cake and mom not thinking put the cake on the table. Dad called mom down stairs to help him with finding decorations. When we got back upstairs the little MONSTER had cake all over his face. He sampled the cake and frosting. In a panic because we had guests coming we tried to salvage what we could. We had a good laugh from it though. This is the cake Web chose.

An Angel

Our prayers are with the Adams family as they have lost a very special spirit in their home. May they find comfort in knowing that Mara is free from the pain and she is now with her Heavenly Father.

More pics of the kids pushing.

This is what we imagined the planes looking like to the pioneers. This is my in-laws property.

We let the kids try to push because the ground was very uneven and it made it real hard to push the cart.
This is one of Munster lifting her leg up high to get a little more power in her push.

Our pioneer trek.

Our Pioneer trek was on July 26Th. This was with Omi and Opi and a lot of their grand kids.
This is a little western town some friends made out of an old trailer.
This is the inside of their little town. It was made to look like a little museum.
This is the hand cart we pushed. Yes, we all pushed but I couldn't get pictures of us adults pushing because I was pushing.
Our pioneer family.
This is the whole crew.
Munster wanted a turn pushing so here she is.

We stopped and ate some bread, Water and cheese. This was close to the meals that the pioneers had on their trek.
Here is my sweet boy. He fell asleep in my lap at Omi and Opi's house. It was nice to relax with him.

The Garden

This is our Garden on August 21. We got a lot of Tomatoes and a couple of cucumbers, we also got some carrots and we still have a few squash trying to grow. They only get to about two inches then they die. The lettuce went straight to seed. The pumpkin plant grew really big but no pumpkins yet.

Hiking at Red Lodge

Red Lodge is so beautiful. We would love to live here. This was a short little hike we took with the kids.
Here is Web getting a good climb in.
Hey who is that on that big rock?
Munsters baby had to come too.
Munster is just chillin on the rock.
This was horse rock.

Roasting mushies in the yard.

The kids wanted to go camping on the weekend of Sept. 01 but we couldn't find a camp sight because they were all filled up. So we decided to set up the tent in the basement and roast marshmallows. It was fun.

Fun with Daddy

Daddy took the kids all the way up the stairs like this. I would have had great pics of that but I realized that daddy had changed my settings on the camera and so my pics didn't turn out my fault for not checking my settings. So here they are at the top of the stairs and going down the hall.
Top of the stairs.
I love the big smiles.

End of the ride

die Schulzeit or School days

This is a gift from Munsters Omi. It is a Schule tuta. If I spelled that wrong I am sure I will be told. :) It had all of her school supplies in it.
The lunch box
The lute
The princess panties
The Princess shirt
Munster loved her gift.
THANK YOU OMI!

Then she found a new use for it. We just wont tell her that this is how they use to punish kids.

Splashing fun!

For those of you in the warmer states we had a real shock the end of August the beginning of September. One day we are at 100 degrees and the next our high was 48 degrees. It was very weird and very very cold. This was just a few days ago. We had just picked up Munster from school and they decided to see how much fun it would be to splash in all the puddles all the way home. This is at the house. I ran inside to get the camera because they were having so much fun.
